A Saturday in London: Burgers & Matilda

London has always been a favourite city of mine; there’s always something new to do and see.  One of my favourite things to do when in L-town is to visit the theatre!  I’m a sucker for a good musical, so when a lil getaway in the big city, I knew I had to add the theatre on my itinerary somewhere.  As always, there was a huge range of different shows to choose from, but after a little deliberation (partly to do with budget) I settled for Matilda.  It was a production that I had heard A LOT of good things about so I was pretty keen to see what the hype was about for myself!

We’d booked a table at a restaurant called The Diner which had a really dreamy looking menu full of American goodness (you can check it out here).  I would highly recommend a cheese burger with bacon and caramelised onions with a side of mac and cheese.  It will definitely have your mouth drooling and leave you in a food coma!

As for the theatre, Matilda was amazing!  Our seats were in the stalls, but on the very back row.  However, despite being right at the back, our view was great.  We could see all of the stage and were close enough to see the cast’s facial expressions.  The show itself had me singing and smiling along all the way through, leaving me with a feel-good feeling as I left.  I’d definitely recommend seeing it if you get the chance!
